Work in progress. AEMSEN's project JANE EDEN, an initiative for the redevelopment of a Rotterdam obsolete inner area into a future-proof, sustainable and collective housing project. The new building is completely constructed from prefabricated CLT modules and the age-old typology of the green court is given a new dimension in this proposal by the ascending and accessible plateaus. Commissioned by Kikx Development and Westpoint Beheer.

The complex is designed as a hybrid and largely modular wooden structure with a great attention for planting and biodiversity in the facades and roofs. The 36,000 m2 program consists of 400 hotel rooms and 10,000 m2 of divers programs such as congress, meeting, training, hospitality, services and wellness facilities.
