Months ago I said goodbye to Vlieg.
Four weeks ago I had to let go of Bij (Bumblebee).

Two lives, so full of presence, gone in what feels like a single breath.

Bij had his own quiet way of being in the world, he was gentle, curious, stubourn and always there. The kind of soul you don’t notice loudly, but deeply feel when it’s gone.

Losing him so soon after Vlieg is hard to put into words. It’s not just grief, it’s the silence they leave behind together.

I’m grateful for every moment, every habit, every small, ordinary day that now feels anything but ordinary.
