IF DENIM hosts 2-day art expo in Rotterdam!

Rotterdam, May 2025 – IF DENIM invites art and design enthusiasts to a unique two-day art expo at its store on in Rotterdam. On Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24, the store will transform into a temporary gallery showcasing work by three emerging artists: Arief Shamshad, Ruurt van Elk, and Bastiaan Bless.

The expo highlights a mix of design, painting, and craftsmanship – each artist bringing a distinct story and creative vision.

presents his first-ever artwork: a chair inspired by Rietveld, designed in collaboration with IF DENIM. The seat is upholstered with patchwork denim, blending classic design with contemporary denim culture.

creates abstract paintings using palette knives and pour techniques. His work is known for its flowing patterns and vibrant colors. For this expo, he presents a denim-inspired series in deep indigo tones, framed in custom denim-clad frames that are artworks in themselves.

debuts his first original sneaker: the CBASSS OS1, designed with sustainable solutions and produced in a limited run of just 100 pairs. Inspired by classic mid silhouettes, the sneaker blends modern design with premium, mostly natural materials – including metal-free leather and an innovative zero-synthetics sole, handcrafted in Portugal.

DENIM AFTER HOURS
The expo concludes on Saturday, May 24 with DENIM AFTER HOURS – a laid-back evening of art, music, drinks, and good vibes. A perfect opportunity to meet the artists and celebrate creativity together.
