Mr. Figg

Figg appeared in the December 1969 Woman's Day magazine story "The Purple-Necked Black-Bearded Blatch." Figg roars continually at siblings Zing and Zang Zong, whom he detests. He attempts to best them through the means of a Purple-Necked Black-Bearded Blatch, but the children love the creature and ultimately give him back to Mr. Figg as a present, teaching him the true meaning of Christmas.
