📣 We're delighted to announce 's involvement in a pivotal workshop recently spearheaded by the LIFE Programme's Smart Square Project, focusing on "Standardized On-site SRI (Smart Readiness Indicator) Building Audits". This event (https://www.cencenelec.eu/news-and-events/news/2024/workshop/2024-02-07-sri/), featuring active and meaningful participation from Cen and Cenelec - European Standardization, colleagues, and standardization experts from all the topically related , marks a milestone in the journey with the LIFE Programme's project.

🚀 The workshop kicked-off the crafting of a comprehensive methodology for on-site audits, integrating EN 16247 energy audits with a special focus on specifics. The constructive discussions explored enhancing energy efficiency, human comfort, health & well-being, and building-grid interactions, all while ensuring compatibility with the upcoming of Recast framework. 🏙️

🔍 While the concentrates on , in the project, we are taking this a step further by integrating the audit of assessments within the wider scope of the audit. This approach promises to enhance the comprehensiveness and utility of by incorporating smart technology assessments, thereby facilitating a more holistic view of a building's performance. 🎯

🌟 , a partner in the project, was represented by a distinguished team comprising Jana Bendzalova, Johann Zirngibl, Jaap Hogeling, and Andrei Vladimir Lițiu. The SRI Day, marked by insightful discussions 🗣️ and breeding ground for further collaborations 🤝, was a perfect platform for us to share our vision and efforts towards making buildings smarter 🧠 and more sustainable 🌱 Well done REHVA, R2M Solution France & Smart Square Project team! 🤝

EPB Center's Executive Director, Andrei Vladimir Lițiu, shared insights into the interconnected nature of building policies and the enabling role of SRI "The SRI has an enabling nature and thus by nature isn't meant to be stand-alone because although building-related policy instruments are dealt with separately, in reality, in a building they are overlapping and intertwined and they should be as integrated as possible, EPC, SRI, inspections etc. For providing coherence & optimal added value in building performance related processes the various policy instruments need to be seamlessly integrated." 🏗️💼
