De Palpale bol

Hier kan je goed de pedipalpen en palpale bol zien van mijn mannelijke wolfspin.

Pedipalpen worden voor verschillende doeleinden gebruikt. Waaronder vangen van prooien, sensorische structuren, aanvullende looppoten, communicatie en geslachtsorganen (mannen).

Bij geslachtsrijpe mannelijke spinnen eindigen de palpen in bolvormige uiteinden (palpale bol). Zo kan je mannen en vrouwen goed onderscheiden.

Deze worden gebruikt om s***ma uit de ge***ale opening van de buik te zu**en en dit tijdens de paring in het voortplantingsstelsel van het vrouwtje te injecteren.

The Palpal bulb

Here you can clearly see the pedipalps and palpal bulb of my male wolf spider.

Pedipalps are used for various purposes. Including prey capture, sensory structures, extra legs, communication and sexual organs (males).

In sexually mature male spiders, the palps end in bulbous tips (palpal bulb). This way you can clearly see the difference between male and female.

These are used to suck s***m from the ge***al opening of the abdomen and inject it into the female's reproductive tract during mating.

Merulanella tricolor is net verveld, en eet zijn oude vervelling om weer essentiële voedingstoffen binnen te krijgen.

Blue crystallized Chalcosoma Atlas. I really like the combination of crystals and insects.

Unfortunately some pieces are missing from the beetle, but that doesn't make it any less beautiful.
