Crowned In Purpose

If you’re an OG, then you know I started Crowned in Purpose in one of the most uncertain seasons of life… right in the middle of COV*D. 🫣

After traveling for 2–3 hours back and forth to my previous salon job for 5 days a week, I knew I couldn’t keep going like that. Something had to change. I always felt there was more for me, but funny enough, it was actually my parents who pushed me to take that step and start my own business as a curly hair specialist.

I was only 21 at the time, so my excuse was: I’m too young… I don’t even have a solid clientele yet. But deep down, I knew God was speaking through them. “He will provide" they often told me.. And He truly did. 🥹🫶🏽

In November 2020, I opened my salon. I went through two lockdowns, uncertainty and even some insecurity. "Surely God was not going to make me invest in all of this, to not even let me succeed, right?" But when I was finally able to reopen in March 2021… I became fully booked each month ever since.

A lot of people questioned my decision. And I could kind of understand why, as businesses were closing everywhere.. But I also knew that when God places something on your heart, it won’t always align with logic, it aligns with obedience.

And looking back now, I can truly say: stepping out in faith will never leave you empty.

Now fast forward: I moved to Manchester since 2025 and had to rebuild my clientele from scratch. Another period of time where I had my doubts sometimes if He would be able to provide again.. but guess what? It's not even been a year yet and once again I'm fully booked every month! 🥹 Fear is nothing but the absence of faith!

My message to you: Keep having crazy faith, even when others project their insecurities on you. Because we succeed not because of who we are, but because of who HE is! And in His timing, He will make it happen. What seems impossible for men, is possible for God. 🙏🏽✨

After all.. it's faith that brought me here. And now I get to show people every week how beautiful their natural hair is. 🥹
