The Minitaur by Moog Music is one of the most compact models they created. I really love it and it has a prominent place in my studio. I use it to create awesome bass sounds but when I want I can turn this little beast into a squeaky effect machine.
It has all the basic sound design options you need and its 2 oscillators with saw and squarewave mode makes it pretty diverse. Not to forget about the glide and LFO options. Those are pretty neat too! I have it hooked up to my DAW with USB and mostly record the output of anything I have created first and then process it before integrating it into the project I am working on.
