The New Year is the perfect time to be looking for a new job. Everyone who was unhappy in their old job either made or did not their last year target, so have no risk if they leave in January, and the festive period always makes people think about whether they are really happy in what they are doing.

So watch out 50+ ers. There will be plenty of opportunities come the New Year. Experience will count because employers increasingly look for commitment - and they can be sure the more mature candidates will be more committed.
