๐ฅ The comeback is real!
Oh, how Iโve missed this feeling! โจ
After the Chianti Ultra Trail I slipped into overtraining. Not an injury, but a long mental battle โ six months of struggling to find my way back.
Today was my first event in half a yearโฆ and wow, it felt amazing. The plan was ambitious: 35 minutes (though honestly, time wasnโt the focus). Of course, I went out too fast โ tradition, right? ๐
But to my surprise, I held the pace, even had enough left to smile and interact with the crowd.
And then the finish line: 34:08 (4:16/km). Faster than even my most optimistic plan. ๐
This race wasnโt about the clock โ it was about finding joy in running again.
Grateful to be back, and excited for what lies ahead. ๐
Thank you to everyone who helped me get here these past months.

"My biggest failures in life are knowing Iโve never tried!" โ NF
This past year? 1 marathon, 4 ultras, and 1 DNF. Not every race was perfect, but every single one taught me something. Growth doesnโt come from winning it comes from showing up, giving it everything, and pushing through when things fall apart.
Chianti was no different. A rough start, a mistake that cost me energy I couldn't afford to waste. By the time I fixed it, the damage was done. The rest of the race? Pure grit. Ultra running has this thing called the "pain cave" that moment when your body screams to stop, but your mind decides to keep going. Thatโs where the real race happens. Thatโs where you grow.
I didnโt get the day I wanted, but I got exactly the challenge I needed. Because in the end, Iโd rather fail trying than live with the regret of never starting.
Did you ever get to the pain cave? And how did you live through it? Let me know in the comments!

A little bit late but nonetheless it's !
Now officially a 100k index finisher on the
Had to start the first 25km on my sneakers because I forgot my trailrun shoes in the hotel and after slipping and sliding and losing a part of my shorts, my crew provided me with my trailrun shoes and it was time to get serious. 50km left and already i had lost a good deal of my energy by trying to find grip in the mud and keeping balance. So "enjoying" was not a concept familiar to me that day. I think that if I didn't have such an amazing crew during the race I would not even have finished the race. So long story short, the pain cave has grown a lot more! ๐ช๐ผ
Finished in just over 10 hours, in 10:18:00.
Very proud. Very hurt. Very tired. Where is the limit?
