VAYY

I wrote this simple acoustic “butterfly” song on a day where I’d already been fighting against writer’s block for weeks, maybe months. This particular day (after a slight mental breakdown 😇) I decided to accept the fact that I’d probably never write another song again. And then within an hour, this entire song rolled out of me! It’s been a reminder for me ever since that it’s okay to give up sometimes, because it’s often the resistance itself that stops the energy from flowing. So to give up so you can keep going, if that makes sense?! That’s the story behing this fragile song written at quite fragile time 🦋 will be playing this live soon in a forest somewhere.
