***IEM-PROJECT BOARD 2022-2023***

Are you going to organize THE masters study project this edition?

The IEM-Project is an ambitious study project by and for master students of this study. A group of selected students participate each edition by performing a consultancy case, trainings and a study trip. Every two years, a new edition of the IEM-Project is organized and unfortunately the seventh edition has already come to an end. Therefore, we are currently looking for the 2022-2023 board!

The goal of this project is to give the selected students a practical background besides their, mostly theoretical, courses. Multiple case studies at several companies are arranged and finally an intercontinental trip is organized. The IEM-Project is much more than just an international trip committee, it combines working, learning and traveling all together in a professional way!

As the board of the IEM-Project you are responsible for the acquisition of the cases, the organization of the trip and the general organization of the IEM-Project.

The first collaboration that we want to announce for this second semester for the IEM-Project edition ‘20-‘21 is with Posterama.

Posterama is a specialist screen printing company in Heerenveen and produces special stickers (“decals”) for customers from all over Europe. These are mainly supplied to bicycle factories that apply them between the paint layers in the form of decorative brand and type names. In addition, Posterama products are increasingly found on motorcycles and in cars, such as those of KTM and BMW.

Posterama is a pioneer in the Netherlands when it comes to “printed electronics” and was a finalist in the 2016 Erasmus Innovation Award election.

Own the case, earn the trip!

Are your a 1st or 2nd year IEM-master student? Then this is your chance to be part of a special initiative! Every two years, the IEM-Project board organizes multiple consultancy cases at progressive companies in the technical sector and a subsequent (intercontinental) trip for IEM-masters. This second semester, a new round of cases will start and the IEM-Project board is looking for students to join in this amazing experience!

The application deadline is January 31 15:00.

What is in it for you?
- The chance to work together with a progressive company on a real-life consultancy case regarding problems they are facing in their business.
- Expanding your network through contact with participating companies and their employees.
- 5 extracurricular ECTs will be granted to all participants who finish the consultancy case.
- All participants will join on an amazing ± 2-week trip in the summer of 2021. The COVID-19 measures that apply at the time of the trip will be taken into account.

This trip is earned by performing a consultancy case at a progressive company in the technical sector while gaining experience and knowledge in real life problem-solving, building your network and resume, and receiving 5 extracurricular ECTs. 🎓
