Kun je met fotografie de realiteit verbuigen? Nee, dat niet. Je kunt wel met een andere blik kijken naar wat er is. De kunst ontdekken in en van je dagelijkse leven, dat is wat we onderzoeken in de nieuwe challenge van de online fotoclub.

Over de online fotoclub 🕵‍♀️
Iedere 6 weken ontvang je een nieuw concept om je aan te zetten tot creatie. Met je camera in je hand zie je andere dingen, en er iets mee creëren geeft mij altijd weer plezier. De online fotoclub is de uitnodiging om daadwerkelijk te gaan maken.

Er zijn altijd handvatten te vinden in de fotochallenge, over hoe je je camera kunt instellen bijvoorbeeld. Maar ook inspiratie en beeldrecepten van de beelden die ik heb geschoten voor de challenge.

Het is een prikkel van inspiratie om te gaan maken. En deze keer gaan we de kunst van je dagelijkse leven ontdekken. En wat was het leuk om dit vorm te geven! Ik zag plots in de meest simpele dingen filmscènes en kunstwerkjes. De dingen die elke dag door je handen gaan, of blijven liggen. Waar je elke week langsloopt. Of een moment van pauze op je dag waarin je ineens de schoonheid van iets heel gewoons opvalt.

Creation: the catalyst of change

Last week and I did a magical photoshoot we were working on for two months now. We are working together again after about 5 years. This made me think about our previous creations.. 📷

We made the picture in this post together 5 years ago, and for me it was a symbolic picture. About starting where you are, creating from the place you are in. Daring to dream big, and creating from wherever you are. Not from a place of so cold perfection, but from a place of realness. This is where the magic happens. The mother who creates in the midst of the chaos that is life. Who is woman in all her forms. And lets herself sparkle in the midst of everything. That is what she did and still does

✨️ After talking about this, it made me think about creation in the first place. That the creation process of something new seldom goes how you think it will. Almost never does this process unfolds exactly in the way you think it will beforehand. And so this asks something of the creator. To be willing and present during this process of unfolding.

The creation process is not linear. It is not logical, and at times it can be even terrifying and uncomfortable. But - creation holds everything. It also opens the door to everything that makes life beautiful. It is the process of bringing something to life. And so it has all the elements, challenges and stages in it that you have to go through to be able to create this what you have envisioned.

You come face to face with every obstacle that is in the way of creating this. And yet sometimes, you just have to. You have to create. You have to go through this process. It becomes the catalyst of change. It becomes the life line, the medicine, the thing that expresses your self in a way that cannot be expressed in any other way.

And so every time you allow this process to move through you, it will change you. And again and again you surrender to new versions of yourself  - through this process of creation. That brought me to the next sentence.

To live is to create. And to create is to live.

☆ This is my church ☆

Tijdens deze portret fotosessie stond het Goud centraal. Gaan voor goud 》 niet settelen voor minder. Jezelf op waarde schatten. Maar ook groot dromen. De sprankeling in je leven brengen. Het Goud in jezelf vinden.

Deze fotoshoot vond plaats in haar eigen kerk, (ja, echt!) dit is namelijk de plek waar zij haar nieuwe bedrijf Goud gaat vormgeven. Een eigen ruimte om alles te kunnen creëren wat je maar wilt. En wat voor ruimte! Het licht in de kerk was magisch. We hadden een dag de tijd om de ruimte te verkennen, het concept te ontdekken, en om haar als drijvende kracht in beeld te brengen.

🌟 Door uit te vragen, te onderzoeken en mee te bewegen ontdekte ik wat ze in concept legt en wat ik in beeld kan brengen om dit weer te geven. De bezinning kwam voorbij, een moment nemen voor jezelf. Maar ook de immense ruimte, het groots durven denken én dromen. En de sprankeling als je er echt voor durft te gaan. Yes!✨️

🖼 Het super leuke was dat ik na deze fotoshoot een slideshow heb gemaakt voor het lanceringsevenement. De foto's van deze fotoshoot gecombineerd met foto's van een eerdere fotoshoot waar een verhaallijn in naar voren kwam. Hier hebben 3 getalenteerde muzikanten op geïmproviseerd om het verhaal tot leven te brengen. Met spoken word erbij werd het een multidisciplinair kunstwerk. Geweldig!

Dit was een mooie aftrap voor de mogelijkheden die deze vrouw in deze kerk creëert. En het belooft Goud te worden!
