Logistics has a considerable impact on the carbon footprint of Philips. The company is enlisting the help of the EngD Software Technology program in creating solutions to monitor the emissions of freight transport by air, land and water. We are happy to announce that Shubham Rawal has been awarded the ST Design Award 2023 and will be automatically nominated for the TU/e EngD Thesis Award 2023.

Shubham was selected by a jury consisting of members of our External Advisory Committee and won the award with his EngD thesis ‘Automated Transformation of Picture Archiving andCommunication System Reporting Templates to HL7® FHIR® Models”. He conducted his graduation project at Philips Research in Eindhoven.

As the fastest growing city in the Netherlands, Eindhoven is struggling with a serious housing shortage. Former student Katja Heidweiller has a creative solution. She and her boyfriend are building a tiny house 🏡.
