MasterShip’s head office team got together for dinner at Piet Hein Eek’s restaurant a few days back to put an exclamation mark on a dynamic year.

Piet Hein Eek is an accomplished industrial designer who works from Eindhoven, famous for his one-of-a-kind furniture made from scrap wood. Eek’s workshop is a sight in itself. If you ever can visit, a guided tour is highly recommended. In 2021 Eek opened a hotel, bar, and restaurant under the same roof.

With our work being digital, our workplace might have what it takes to become a tourist attraction. But maybe we can open a rum & grog stand next year?

New blood at the office! This month, Nikol Genova started her internship.

Nikol is studying at Fontys ICT in Eindhoven. She is in her third year and well on her way to her bachelor’s in Software Engineering.

For the coming five months, Nikol will focus on developing the Drawing Register in MasterShip Software.

Nikol: “I enjoy exploring new software applications and working on 3D technology. I hope to gain insight into the world of ship engineering – which is completely new for me – and help develop a robust and user-friendly version control system for 3D CAD drawings.”

Nikol’s application stood out to us because she brings relevant experience to our project. In the interview, she came across as bright and energetic. Her proven ability to deal with challenges and keep wheels moving stood out for us – perfect for innovation.
