💬 General Information:
Various large projects are welded, such as mooring poles for large ships or floating pontoons, as shown in the photos. Due to their enormous size, they cannot be rotated, so welding must be done in all positions. The welding processes used are MAG 136 (rutile-filled wire) and MAG 138 (metal powder-filled wire). Welders engaged for these tasks must have a valid certificate or agree to obtain one. They must also have extensive experience with both processes.

💬 Welder:
➡️The welder must have a reasonable command of the English language
➡️Each new welder will be tested on welding processes 136 (rutile-filled wire) and 138 (metal powder-filled wire), such as PF vertical-up fillet welds and PB & PD multi-layer fillet welds for both processes.
➡️These tests will initially take place at the welding school, and a report will be compiled.
➡️The welder will also be tested on a vertical-up V-groove weld with the first pass using 138 and fill layers with 136 to ensure proficiency in both processes.
➡️If approved by the company one to two weeks after placement, a certification plan will be initiated. The required certificate will be determined in consultation. In most cases, it will involve process 136: rutile-filled wire - position PD and PF, certifying the welder for all positions except PG.
