In a society that formally excluded women from political participation, Aspasia exercised influence through knowledge, rhetoric, and intellectual authority — shaping discourse at the heart of democratic power.

This article challenges traditional narratives of female silence in Antiquity and invites us to rethink leadership as influence, strategic thinking, and discursive power, particularly in contexts of structural exclusion.
Revisiting Aspasia is not an antiquarian exercise; it is a necessary step in expanding how we define leadership today.
