🗣 Today we introduce the latest addition to the Omnigen team, Kim Lensing, intern within our project ‘ISOLATE’ (DIagnoStic tOol Liver cAncer TreatmEnt).

"Hi! My name is Kim!

I am 23 years old, and I am a Master's student in Bioinformatics at Wageningen University & Research. As the last part of my Master's, I will do my internship at Omnigen.

In the upcoming months, I will be working on the ISOLATE project, where I will look for genetic markers that can predict liver cancer patients’ response to Sorafenib.

This could potentially lead to the development of a diagnostic tool that is able to distinguish responders from non-responders of treatment with Sorafenib among liver cancer patients.

I am excited about this opportunity, to do my internship at Omnigen, and I am sure I will learn a lot of new skills from Omnigen’s team!"

✅ This project in which we collaborate with Levels Diagnostics has been granted the MIT R&D collaboration grant by Provincie Zuid-Holland.

🗣 Today we introduce our latest addition to the team, Jantina Eefting, front-end developer trainee.

"My name is Jantina, and I am currently a front-end developer trainee for Omnigen. I have a background in sciences, but I would like to move into the Web and App Development field.

Through this traineeship, I will sharpen my skills in React.js, and learn Angular and Symphony PHP to broaden my technologies knowledge base. My goal for the next six months is to soak up as much information as I possibly can and learn field-specific skills from my colleagues.

I am incredibly excited about the next six months, because everything is new, and I am going to learn so much!"
