And today is the birthday of a very special person, Florzinha mór da minha vida, a person that is not only one of my best friends. But a person that is in my life for more than a decade, someone that lived with me for 4 years, at the beloved Casa das Flores, someone that is an amazing musician, and therefore we have some projects together, and we played a lot (like A LOT, in many kinds of situations, including a Baile do Almeidinha with ). I wish you, Floor, all the hapiness, health, wealth, music and peace in the whole world. You are a fantastic friend, person, musician, and I am honored to have you in my life. Since I came to Holland I always wish for a dutch friend, because at the beginning it was so hard to meet dutch people. And then I met you and very slowly we became friends, then we started to play together, get to know each other very well, and voilà: amigas do tipo unha e carne ❤️
Um carrosselzinho de algumas fotos (e pouquíssimas, comparado com o tanto que vivemos juntas) dessa jornada que foi, é e sempre será nossa amizade. Aliás, amizade que ten direito até uma música chamada "Amizade" que você fez pra mim, e uma música chamada "Eterna Flor", que eu fiz pra você (corre no streamming pra ouvir!). Parabéns, amiga, que esse ciclo seja incrivel, com muitos shows juntas (aliás, Munique é nóis em duas semanas 🥳), com muita alegria, saúde, esportes, arte em toda parte, viagens e amor. Nossa história tá só começando, e tenho certeza que vamos trilhar muitos caminhos juntas. Obrigada por existir em minha vida, por me ajudar, apoiar, me ajudar a ver o mundo de outra forma... Que vc tenha um lindo aniver, amo você! 😘

This is my family. The 6 people who I grew up with. The familiar nucleous that not only shaped me, but helped me, inspired me, taught me some (sometimes hard) lessons, had arguments with me, had amazing conversations with me... In my first 25 years I was living with my parents and my brothers and sis, and I know that this period made me who I am now. And the funny thing is that MUSIC was the common passion. Or playing, or listening, or talking about it, or all together (haha), this particular art was in our hearts. It still is, actually. We were known as a "musical family", because almost everybody plays an instrument. I am the only professional musician, but I am the tip of the iceberg. My dad, for example, doesn't work with music but he plays piano every single day since I know him (he loves Chopin, and I know well this composer because of my dad). One of my brothers is a genious-composer (no exageration, he is really amazing), and a fantastic pianist (we both studied with a russian piano teacher, and travelled some cities to play in competitions - for example my first time in Rio was with him, I was around 19 years old, we played in a concours where we both lost, hahaha, but we got to see Ipanema for the first time together). All the stories of my family could be an amazing book 😉 who knows, maybe one day I'm gonna write about it...

I think at some point life reserved me a big surprise, which is moving to Holland, where I lived now for 15 years (yes, time can fly like a speed rocket, so don't waste it). Holland is far from my familiar nucleous in a phisycal way, but I always carried them in my heart. Only God knows how I missed them dearly (I inderstood more and more the word saudade). Since I moved abroad, every time back in Brazil felt like a dream, or another distant planet or reality.  I confess every time I come back it's still hard to see how my brothers are older, with white hair or white beard (or maybe with extra weight, hahaha) and how my parents aged (they are now 68). But life goes one, right, and we can't stop time...
