A huge step forward for solar transport in Europe! Solar Mobility on the EU agenda!

An invigorating day of policy engagement in Brussels was had yesterday! Our Head of Communications, Stella Pahinis, joined ASOM partners Lightyear and IMEfficiency to meet with MEP APA Tom Draaijer representing MEP Baljeu & MEP Groothuis and DG MOVE Head of Unit Isabelle Vandoorne (MOVE B.3). ASOM presented the findings of the Solar Moves project, assignment from the DG MOVE of the European Commission, and initiated a crucial dialogue on amending EU legislation to properly integrate solar mobility solutions.

This is the start of a necessary policy shift toward welcoming on-board vehicle charging systems and Negative Emission Technologies (NETs) in the Energy Union package.
