Hello! Welcome new followers, I’m Kate the founder of Moozle. It’s been a while so I thought I’d reintroduce myself. I’m a mum of 2 now teenage Moozles! We live just on the edge of Amsterdam. I started Moozle not long after my daughter was born, before we moved to NL. I wanted to make a magical space for her to dream and wonder in so I made her a four sided teepee tent, complete with a cottage style window, appliquéd flowers, birds and even a tree! It was the first of its kind I’d ever seen. I uploaded to the internet, there was no at the time! I put it on my website and shop and it slowly but surely…exploded! But by then we’d had to make the decision to move from Wales to NL for work (thank you bankers for crashing the economy) and I was navigating a new country with a toddler and a baby on the way! The demand for my teepees was overwhelming and I’m so grateful for all the orders I received from so many people all around the world! Of course the bubble burst in 2014 -16 when my designs were copied and sold on Alibaba and Amazon and Etsy changed their selling model but that’s another story. We small business have to learn, pivot, adapt, so the organic bedding collection was created and now times are moving on again, the consumer landscape is evolving and so am I, I’m teaching part time and running school holiday workshops, it’s so much fun! I’m so happy to be able to share my love of creativity and inspire the next generation 💫 there’s so much more to come, I’ll share more soon.
