Why do this? 💭

Use the modulation section on the synth to route the filter frequency to the LFO. Get the filter to open en close randomly to get a more dubby deephouse feel with random automations which can make your sounds stand out a lot more.

Most producers over-compress their bass without realizing it.
If you’re using VSTs or loops, the character is already there. You don’t need to squeeze it out. A little glue compression between kick and bass is all you need.
