Making sure you’re designing your digital products with accessibility in mind is now more important than ever 🌈
Why? Governments are acting upon digital accessibility!
An example: In the Netherlands, public services and products will have to comply with the WCAG 2.2 standards by 2025.
Check out what these guidelines might mean for your products 👇
🔍 The digital product must be presentable in a way that users can perceive.
So, designers and developers should build a product that can allow blind people to read the interface with a screen reader, and deaf people to read text alternatives for video or audio content.
☝️ Make sure your digital product is not only operable via touch.
People who use a screen reader, voice control, keyboard, or switch control should also be able to use it.
📲 Products must be built robust to function on as many devices as possible. Ensure the app works on the newest devices and check whether it works on old devices
