A data art at Munich jewelry week post. I could not be present at the National Museum of Kazachstan to see this exhibition, but luckily I could visit the same exhibition during Munich Jewelry Week ❤️❤️❤️ I am still processing the fact that I was part of it. All the works are amazing. All the texts and diagrams are amazing. I finally have my copy of the catalogue and can post it, I think the description of my art was really well made. Thanks to all the people who participated in organising this exhibition. Data is important, but a lot of people think it’s boring. This way, using art, there is a chance people get another perspective ❤️

I still can’t believe 2 of my data art pieces are going to Munich Jewelry Week with ‘s “The Jewelry Code: Data as Wearable Art” exhibition.
The first pendant is inspired by an ancient Egyptian cartouche, but with the most used emojis with my friend: I downloaded our whatsapp conversations and wrote a python script to clean up the data and count the emojis. It’s 3D printed and cast in silver (I’m proud to cast myself) and enamelled with hot enamel.
The second bracelet is based on my instagram reels data (downloaded the json from instagram), this data didn’t need a clean up and I used blender (and python again) to visualise it. My viral reel has become the core of the bracelet, bent around the arm. It’s 3D printed from nylon.
Data art is something embedded in my artistic DNA and truly cherished by me, I used to also do generative jewelry and other types of algorithmic art and computer art, I’m so happy to see that it’s finally having the moment it deserves, in the heart of Munich. ❤️ 🤖❤️
