Two 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engines will be offered, with a choice of 201bhp and 261bhp, both with 4MOTION four-wheel drive. Diesel options are covered by 120bhp and 148bhp front-wheel drive 2.0 TDI engines, while the more powerful 190bhp model comes with 4MOTION four-wheel drive as standard, allowing for a maximum towing weight of up to 2,200kg.

The midsize Audi A6 luxury sedan is a smooth and stylish performer with standard all-wheel drive and a number of high-tech features. The S6 and RS6 are the quickest and most nimble models in the line, with the latter offering supercar-like speed thanks to its twin-turbo V8.

Dodge (finally) has its own compact crossover in the new Hornet. Built on the Alfa Romeo Tonale platform, the Dodge Hornet has a standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a plug-in hybrid option that produces up to 285 horsepower and a 0-60 sprint of 6.1 seconds.

The CLE is designed to sit in between the C-Class and E-Class with Mercedes claiming it’ll blend the best qualities of the two models. In terms of size it’s actually longer than the outgoing E-Class Coupe but is the same width and sits a little lower to give it a sleeker profile.
