Cold sweat turns to blisters as the flesh depicts the fate. The sear, the scream, the flock will follow the most rotten star.

A very thorough, in depth, review of Mors Gregis:
Over a year since Bok announced its presence in BM with debut release "Metastasis Dei", this Dutch solo act – its sole proprietor MvG plays all instruments and performs all vocals – has now brought out its first album, "Mors Gregis" (Latin: "Death to the Flock" or "Death to the Herd"). Those of you who already know "Metastasis Dei" will be happy to hear that MvG continues with Bok's core style of raw melodic old-school BM flecked with elements of doom, post-punk, thrash, electronic (mainly darkwave with possibly some dungeon synth influence) and musique concrète. Bok has dialled back on the non-metal aspects of its music so that the more electronically oriented elements appear either at the beginning or conclusion of tracks, or in the background during instrumental passages, and so "Mors Gregis" presents as a solid compilation of eight songs of mostly harsh raw BM aggression, all of them featuring lyrics in a mix of English and Latin. The lyrics highlight occult rituals and criticise mainstream Christianity, its rituals and the demands it makes of its followers, including the conformist mind-set that turns Christians into sheep vulnerable to exploitation by priests.
By and large, the music across all eight songs is easy to follow: its texture is rough but not too much so, and the vocals are harsh (and swamped rather by the busy riffing) but the electronic music and musique concrète samples balance the harsh distortion with very clean tones.

Half of the tapes found their way to their twisted new owners. The other half is still available on Bandcamp: https://bokf**d.bandcamp.com/album/mors-gregis

"As I suspected, BOK doesn’t just deliver riffs in a wild or more ethereal way; the project draws us directly into its work. Mors Gregis is the perfect soundtrack for letting our minds wander into dark thoughts."
85/100
Merci beaucoup
