Your boss, colleague, or even someone close can turn out to be a toxic person. In personal relationships, you can distance yourself from toxic individuals, but the workspace doesn't always offer this luxury.

Here are 8 Types of Toxic Individuals and How Managers Can Deal with Them:
1️⃣ The Complainer: Always dissatisfied and rarely seeking solutions.
What to Do: Address deeper issues causing dissatisfaction, and redirect the conversation towards solutions.
2️⃣ The Excuse Maker: Always has reasons for not delivering.
What to Do: Build communication that encourages accountability and emphasizes teamwork.
3️⃣ The Unenthusiastic Worker: Their lack of enthusiasm affects team morale.
What to Do: Identify what inspires a team member, organize activities to combat burnout, and offer skill development opportunities.
4️⃣ The Gossip: Thrives on spreading negativity.
What to Do: Shut down gossip by redirecting discussions to productive topics.
5️⃣ The Liar: Fabricates to avoid consequences.
What to Do: Gather evidence and confront with facts to instill accountability.
6️⃣ The Know-It-All: Undermine colleagues with their superiority complex.
What to Do: Address their behavior, and offer training to boost confidence genuinely.
7️⃣ The Lone Wolf: Prefers working alone, disrupting teamwork.
What to Do: Encourage participation in team projects, assign responsibilities, and acknowledge contributions.
8️⃣ The Irresponsible One: Forgets commitments and disrupts schedules.
What to Do: Communicate the impact of their behavior, outline consequences, and enforce them if necessary.

How to Protect Yourself and Maintain Emotional Well-being:
✅Set boundaries.
✅Stay motivated and positive.
✅Recognize toxic behaviors and address them professionally.
✅Remember, you teach people how to treat you. Stand firm and manage conflicts effectively.
✅While you may not change others' behavior, try to control your responses and handle workplace conflicts with grace.

Extremely productive weekend with Chernivtsi IT Cluster! 🚀

On March 2nd and 3rd, project managers from member companies dove deeper into project management with a cluster training led by project management expert Serhii Potapov! 💡

During the training, we covered:
1️⃣ Stakeholder engagement: influencing key project players.
2️⃣ "9 steps of persuasion" for influential stakeholders.
3️⃣ Introduction to PVRO method: prioritizing tasks effectively.
4️⃣ "Agreement capture" using PODSC tool on a single A4 page.
5️⃣ Individual development plans + delegation as a team development tool.

Big thanks to Serhii Potapov for the insightful take on project management! 🙌🏼

📈 Remember, Efficiency + Effectiveness = Productivity. Let's keep growing together with Chernivtsi IT Cluster!

Hey Techies! The world of coding and debugging is full of love. For all you lovebirds out there here are some tech love stories 💻❤️

1. "Are We Exclusive?": When you ask your coding partner if they're committed to pair programming with you and only you! Because who needs merge conflicts in love, right?

2. "Where Do You See Us Going?": The moment you ask your code reviewer about the future of your pull requests. Are we destined for the main branch, or will we forever dwell in the depths of version control?

3. "Let's Take Things Slow": When your server response time is lagging, and you suggest a gradual rollout instead of rushing into production. Slow and steady wins the race, even in code... and love!

4. "We're in Love": When you google your error, and the answer is in the first Stack Overflow comment. A match made in the cloud!

5. "We're a Couple": When your frontend and backend developers finally sync up, and your app starts looking like a cohesive unit. It's official: they're a dynamic duo!

Remember, in the world of tech, love is all about compatibility, integration, and seamless user experiences. So, embrace the bugs, celebrate the merges, and keep coding your way to love and laughter!

Got any techy love stories to share? Drop them in the comments below and let's debug together! 💬❤️

Women are underrepresented in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) university courses and occupations compared to men. 🎓🖥️

On the occasion of International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we want to direct the spotlight on some of our female colleagues who work with us.

Eventhough progress has been made, increasing women’s participation in technical education and business, there are still challenges to be conquered. We are very lucky to be able to call these awesome women part of the SharpMinds team and are looking forward to growing our teams and putting in the effort on closing the gender gap and increasing diversity.
