African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement - AfCFTA

Signed and ratified by our Federal Government through President Muhammadu Buhari on 7th day of July 2019 and made effective from 1st January, 2021.

This treaty; when fully harmonized, is planned to breakdown any institutional or social trading barriers ..that tends to hamper trade activities between African countries.

In the wake of (Cairo) Egypt's 2023 Intra African Trade Fair - IATF
Nigeria is gearing up for the second phase of the AfCFTA Convention which we didn't participate in last year for reasons best known to our government.

SmartMonie believes, that among other fundamental trade barriers, .the harmony of quality standards for finished products and/or services ..which will further marry institutional fences for AfCFTA member states will solidify from the 2023 AfCFTA Convention.🙌😊
