In a groundbreaking move, the Okobo Local Government Gender Response Unit and the Akwa Ibom State Gender-Based Violence Management Committee joined forces to host a revolutionary workshop, 'Break the Silence, Stop the Violence.'

Held at St. Theresa School, Okobo, the event brought together over 500 participants to raise awareness, promote support, and empower those affected by Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The workshop featured interactive sessions and expert presentations, covering critical topics such as the psychological effects of GBV, self-defense strategies, and support services for survivors.

OKOBO LOCAL GOVERNMENT GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE RESPONSE UNIT SET TO HOLD GBV SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP

In commemoration of the Akwa Ibom State Gender-Based Violence Awareness Month, the Okobo Local Government Gender-Based Violence Response Unit, in collaboration with the Akwa Ibom State Gender-Based Violence Management Committee, is organizing a sensitization workshop on Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
