Social media is like Heaven.

It is filled with bright and colourful pictures.

Everyone appears to be cheerful.
​

But we all know the truth.
​
​
Social media is not heaven.
​
​
Rather it is a playground where we play make-believe.

For some, it is a place where they come to hide their sorrows behind a smile.

​Ever tried to smoke away your sorrow?

​I tried it once, and I almost choked to death.

Maybe like me, you are not a smoker.
​
​But everyone has a go-to activity they indulge in when they want to take their mind off negative realities.

​It is called a coping mechanism.
​
​
For some people, the way they cope with difficult situations is to give up.
​
​
They accept defeat.
​
​
It is the easiest thing to do.
​
​
While for some, when one thing gets difficult, they find something else.
​
​
Seeing things through is not their forte.
​
It happens in relationships.
​
It happens in business as well.
​
​
Maybe your story has been an unending cycle of underachievement.

The worst thing you can do at this point is to put a deadline on yourself, you may not survive it.

The most important part of marketing is providing educational resources, particularly in the awareness stage, to offer value to your buyers in the hopes they will one day become buyers.

I know you are in a hurry to make sales and expand your business, I understand that pressure; I've been there and I'm still there. But hey, if every time someone logs into Social Media and Your Timeline pops up and what the person sees is you trying to force your product on him or her,It gets boring and may on the long run become a turn off.

You must understand that these platforms wasn't first business platforms, they are Social platforms. Learn to mix your posts sometimes with educational posts.

Are you a Fashion Designer? Teach us how to know a fake fabric at first sight. There are some of us who feel that the costlier it is the better it is. Are you a food vendor? Give us some food hacks. Once in a while, give us some educative info about your business without necessarily trying to convince us to buy from you. Don't show your desperation.

It's crucial that you create relevant content for the sake of your of your sales team, marketing team and potential leads.
