"Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving." - Warren Buffett. Make a commitment to save a fixed amount or percentage right away, and then live comfortably on the rest. This strategy guarantees your financial future isn't left to chance. Pay your future self first. Treat savings as a non-negotiable expense.

"The biggest risk is not taking any risk... In a world that's changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks." - Mark Zuckerberg.
Standing still is the only way to ensure you'll lose in a race where everyone else is running. To succeed, you have to be willing to try new things and accept that some of them won't work out that's the cost of staying relevant. Inaction is a business killer.”

Sometimes a bad thing happens, and then we make it worse by beating ourselves up about it.
Imagine you're on your way to a friend's wedding, all dressed up in your finest traditional wear. Suddenly, you trip and tear a small part of your beautiful lace fabric.
The first arrow is the tear itself the pain of seeing your lovely outfit ruined. That's the part you can't avoid.
The second arrow is what you do next: "I'm so clumsy. How will I face anyone like this? Now my pictures will be terrible." That's the arrow you shoot at yourself, and it almost always hurts more than the first one.
The first arrow is the unavoidable pain of life things that just happen. The second arrow is the extra suffering we create with our own thoughts.
So, the next time something goes wrong, try to notice that second arrow. Instead of picking it up and shooting it at yourself, just let it drop. Deal with the immediate problem (maybe you can pin the tear or cover it with your bag), and then move on.
What's a "second arrow" you've let go of recently?
