Do you know that initiating breastfeeding within the first one hour of a child's birth is very important?
This is because that first milk which is yellowish in colour produced when the baby is born (colostrum) is highly nutritious for the baby. It acts as the first vaccine for the newborn; therefore, initiate breastfeeding the infant within 1 hour after birth.
