ARISE TOWN SQUARE MEETING AND EMPOWERMENT SERIES HOLDS TODAY AT ORON TOWNSHIP STADIUM

The Government of Akwa Ibom State is pleased to announce that the next edition of the ARISE Town Square Meeting and Empowerment Series is **holding today, Saturday, April 5, 2025**, at the Oron Township Stadium.

This pivotal event comes on the heels of the successful inaugural town hall held in Abak Federal Constituency on March 8, 2025, during which constituents presented their Needs Document and unanimously endorsed Governor Umo Eno for a return to the Government House in 2027.

Today’s event is expected to draw stakeholders and residents from all five Local Government Areas of the Oron Federal Constituency—**Oron, Mbo, Okobo, Udung Uko, and Urue Ofong-Oruko**. The session will serve as an interactive platform for dialogue and empowerment, further reinforcing the commitment of Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda to addressing grassroots needs and incorporating citizens’ input into the formulation of the 2026 People’s Budget.

Highlights of today’s Town Square Meeting include the continued release of empowerment grants such as:


- The **N2 Billion Farmers’ Grant**

- The **N2 Billion Traders’ Grant**

- **Small and Medium Scale Business Grants** of up to **N5 Million per beneficiary**

- **Equipment support** to boost local businesses



This series of engagements underscores Governor Eno’s unwavering dedication to inclusive governance. The ARISE Town Square Meeting continues to strengthen bonds between government and the people, nurturing a collaborative environment for the sustainable development of Akwa Ibom State.
