Many people you see ranting against Christ and the church on social media are men and women who have grudges and have suffered disappointments.

Some were failed by their pastors, others were failed by other Christians they related with, while yet some were disappointed when the expectations they built around what they have been told just crashed and they couldn't pick up their pieces together. Others just experienced a tragedy or a bad situation.

This has made some to decide to plunge themselves back into idol worship and darkness. Some just stopped going to church. Generally, most of them don't have the patience to hear anyone talk about Christ anymore. Some just hate Him and have become active attacking whatever He represents, even on social media.

But while one can validate the existence of these disappointments, the truth is that if you are patient and you pay attention, you will discover the missing link that caused your disappointment. Some are because they trusted men so much that they didn't realize that they have made those men gods. Some because of some misinterpretation of scriptures, they placed their hopes on what is not true. They believed falsehoods and got disappointed. Some never believed in Christ at all. Others forgot that we are all humans and they had unrealistic expectations that just crashed. Nit only that they couldn't forgive themselves but are angry that God didn't stop them.

I must say here that there are some people that just got confused like John the Baptist in Matthew 11 who from the prison sent some of his disciples to Jesus to ask Him whether He was still the Messiah.

You have a real disappointment and you hurt. All I can say is that you can not get the healing you need by hating Him. He is still the Balm of Gilead that can heal you and in due time make you understand what the missing link is today. You don't turn away from the One who alone can help you, even though you think He is the One that didn't do anything and you got hurt. In due time, He will settle you.

I close with what the Lord answered the disciples of John the Baptist, "blessed is he who is not offended because of Me". Don't get offended at Jesus Christ.
