Without loss of generality, and with no ambiguities, there are only two directions in life: the right one and the wrong one, and with every step taken in the right direction we are closer to our dreams, purpose, destiny, happiness, and you name it, than we were ab initio. Sometimes, it may not seem like it, but that is clearly the reality as you will see...

Let me demonstrate this with an example. Suppose you are at the top of a mountain, at which foot is a town you were travelling to, you see the town really close, but there is no way you are getting there by jumping off the mountain: you have to take the path down the mountain, no matter how it winds and bends. At the time you are at the mountain top the town seemed relatively close but when you begin the journey down you may seem to be going farther from the town than you were at the top of that mountain. However, the reality of it is that you are even then closer than you were at the mountain top considering the obvious truth that you are not getting to the foot of that mountain jumping off of it.

Now, you see, the problem is that many people give up on the journey to that town somewhere along the way, some will even decide to go back to that mountaintop and relish the view and false impression of being close to the town. And then, you hear things like "I was doing everything right, but nothing was working". What we fail to realise is that remaining atop the mountain doesn't get you any closer to the town or your purpose for taking the trip in the first place, say business for instance.

So, here is my takeaway for you from this long epistle: Do not go back to that mountaintop, and do not stop walking down that path. The town may just be round the bend, in the next corner, who knows? but one thing is sure, every step brings you closer to the town.

I like to think of life in terms of numbers-binary in particular-zeros and ones: the zeros being the downs, disappointments, failures, and everything negative you can think of; and the ones being the successes, milestone achievements, breakthroughs, and all the good things you can fill in there. We all love the ones, right? Nobody likes the zeros, and we want to complain every time we get the zeros, which is precisely my point. what will 1,000,000 be without all those zeros?
