While in university, buy books. Buy and read them.
I can't believe this book has suddenly become important for my book "Mastering Oral English for WAEC and JAMB" after many years of leaving the university.
Don't just photocopy, buy as many as you can afford. You may need them tomorrow.

As we can see, the jinx that English is the most difficult subject in JAMB no longer holds sway.
You start learning English from, or even before - Nursery school. From Nursery school onward, you are taught English every day. So why should it still be considered the most difficult subject in JAMB?
Let me tell you why many students perform poorly in English:
1. They refuse to abandon their Nigerian English before entering the exam hall.
2. Overconfidence: They believe they speak English very well, yet they still confuse “has” with “have” and make other basic grammatical errors.
3. They pay little attention to studying the subject because they assume English is easy.
You can all see now that scoring 98 is achievable if you truly prepare for it.

The Heads of Tertiary Institutions just want to increase their revenue.
If you applied to a federal university but you scored less than 200, don't keep your hopes up.
