In November 2022, while campaigning in Delta State, the then APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, now the President, berated the other Presidential Candidate (Peter Obi), he was ashamed to call his name, saying "Na statistics we go chop all I want is to put food on the table of Nigerians”.

Now 2 years into his 4-year tenure, Nigeria is classified as one of the hungriest nations in the world with millions of Nigerians not knowing where their next meal will come from.

President Tinubu is now overfeeding Nigerians with wrong Statistics from wrong unemployment figures, wrong inflation figures, and now GDP rebasing, all to put a positive spin on our deteriorating economic and household conditions.

Governance is not a rocket science, it's not a gamble, like I have always reiterated, it requires sincerity of purpose, character, competence, capacity and compassion.

A new Nigeria is POssible.

Peter Obi Donates ₦20 Million to UNICAL’s College of Dentistry to Prevent Student Expulsion

Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has donated a sum of ₦20 million to the University of Calabar’s Faculty of Dentistry in a bid to rescue over 400 dental students from possible expulsion due to accreditation challenges.

The donation comes as a timely intervention following reports that the faculty was on the verge of losing its accreditation from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) due to inadequate infrastructure, including the lack of dental chairs and essential laboratory equipment.

Obi, who visited the institution on Friday, expressed concern over the plight of the affected students and emphasized the importance of ensuring that no Nigerian student is denied education because of institutional failures.

“No student should suffer or be denied their future because a school lacks the facilities to meet basic regulatory requirements,” Obi stated during the visit.

The Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and university officials received Obi warmly, describing the donation as a major relief that would help the faculty meet MDCN standards and avert a looming crisis.

Students also expressed deep appreciation to Obi, hailing his gesture as an act of compassion and leadership that would have a lasting impact on their academic journey.

The ₦20 million donation is expected to go toward the procurement of dental chairs, laboratory upgrades, and other key infrastructure needed for training and accreditation.

This latest philanthropic act by Peter Obi adds to his growing record of personal contributions to education and health institutions across Nigeria.
