Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Sets for 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony

The management of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo has announced that its matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students in the 2025/2026 academic session will take place on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

According to an official statement issued by the University Registrar, Mrs. Olubunmi Siju’ Asunmo, the ceremony is scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m. at the University BOT Large Lecture Theatre. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan, will preside over the event, formally ushering the fresh students into the academic community of the institution.

In furtherance of the university’s tradition of intellectual engagement, the matriculation lecture will be delivered by Professor Stella Odebode, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ibadan. Her lecture is expected to set the tone for academic excellence, discipline and purposeful scholarship as the new students begin their academic journey.

The release called on members of the University Senate, principal officers, administrative staff, chairpersons and leaders of student representative bodies, matriculating students, as well as other stakeholders to attend the ceremony. All guests are advised to be seated by 9:30 a.m. prompt to ensure a smooth and dignified proceedings.

The matriculation ceremony marks a significant milestone in the academic calendar of the university, symbolising the formal admission of new students into its academic fold and reaffirming the institution’s commitment to producing professionally competent and morally grounded graduates.
