: CHRIST HAVE TRIUMPH OVER DEATH - FR. ONUOHA
https://youtu.be/HLX8Vj0v-Xs?si=0271nQtbUcGEtzMc

As the Christendom mark 2025 Easter Celebration, the commemoration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from death, Christians have been enjoined to hold strongly to the faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ to reap the benefits derivable from his triumph of death.
The Education Secretary, Ahiara Mbaise Catholic Diocese, Fr. Augustine Onuoha gave the injunction in his homily marking Easter Sunday Mass Celebration at St. Brigid's Catholic Church Nnarambia Ahiara in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA.
Preaching on the theme: "The Joy of Christ Resurrection," the clergyman said his resurrection has strengthened and emboldened us and above all set us free from the captivity of the devil.
He stated that till death, the resurrection of Christ remains a mystery and that even Peter and the apostles, the Chief Priests, the Teachers of the Law and the Pharisees did not believe that Jesus would rise.
He recalled that it was for this reason that the authorities gave the Watchmen watching over Jesus tomb orders to spread lies that his body was stolen.
Continuing, he said: "Many people have tried to die and rise, among them, D Lawrence but they could not make it. If Christ did not die and resurrected, our faith would have been in vain. He die to open the gate of eternity so that the devil cannot hold us bound. His death and resurrection strengthen us. The devil claims the world belongs to him but it was the resurrection that humiliated him. The power of the resurrection is a force that empowers us. In faith, there is no doubt. The faith in the resurrection led the apostles to great miracles. With it, we are great achievers in the world. We are in the world but we are children of heaven. With God all things are possible. We must live up to the vow of baptism. God gives us sufficient grace for that. We longer live for ourselves, we live for Christ. Our live does not end here. If we believe in the resurrection, let us look up to it. Let us help one another and garner souls for God. Let us live life worthy of our calling to the glory of God."

The First Reading was taken from Acts 10:34a.37-43 “We ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead,” Responsorial Psalm - Psalm 118: 1-2.15c- 17.22-23 R. 24 "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice in it and be glad," Second Reading - Colossians 3:1-4 “Seek the things that are above, where Christ is,” Gospel Acclamation - Corinthians 5:7b.8a "Alleluia, alleluia. Christ, our Paschal Lamb, has been sacrificed; let us, therefore, celebrate the festival in the Lord. Alleluia! Gospel - John 20:1-9 “He must rise from the dead.”
