Good morning everyone.

Please, I need your sincere advice. No insults, please.

I am a 27-year-old man and the only son of my late father. Ever since my father passed away, my mother has been my closest family, and I love and respect her so much.

The problem is that I am now at the age where I want to settle down and get married, but my mother keeps saying no to every lady I introduce to her. Whenever I bring up marriage, she always tells me, "It is not yet your time to get married."

To be honest, I am confused and emotionally exhausted. Over the years, I have lost good women because I was trying to please my mother and get her approval. Now, I have met someone special. She is caring, respectful, hardworking, and everything I have been praying for in a wife.

But I am scared.

I am scared of taking her to my mother because I fear she may reject her like the others. I don't want to lose this woman, but I also don't want to do anything that will hurt or upset my mother.

Sometimes I wonder if my mother is afraid of being alone. Sometimes I wonder if she feels that marriage will take me away from her. I honestly don't know.

I am caught between making my mother happy and building my own future. As the only son, the pressure is overwhelming.

Please, if you were in my shoes, what would you do? Should I keep waiting until my mother says it's time, or should I respectfully follow my heart and marry the woman I love?

I need genuine advice from mature minds because this situation is affecting my peace of mind.

Thank you, and God bless everyone who shares their opinion.

Good morning everyone.

Please, I need sincere advice, not insults.

I am a 35-year-old woman, not yet married. For the past three years, I have been friends with a man who is now asking for my hand in marriage. However, his proposal has left me confused and heartbroken.

He told me clearly that he does not want a marriage based on love. According to him, the marriage would be more like a contract. He said he would pay me ₦2 million every year, and my role would be to give birth to two children. After having the children, the agreement would be over, although I would still be allowed to be part of my children's lives.

Honestly, I don't know what to think. At my age, I'm not getting any younger. I don't have any other man in my life, and the fear of remaining single is beginning to affect me. But at the same time, I have always dreamed of a marriage built on love, respect, friendship, and genuine companionship—not a business arrangement.

Part of me is wondering if I should accept because opportunities may not come often. Another part of me feels I deserve to be loved and valued as a wife, not just as someone to bear children.

Please, if you were in my shoes, what would you do? Would you accept this offer, or would you walk away and wait for something more meaningful?

Your honest advice could help me make one of the biggest decisions of my life.

Thank you, and God bless everyone who takes time to comment.

EPISODE 1 —
THE GIRL FROM THE WATER

Heavy rain fell across the village of Oporo.
Thunder shook the zinc roofs while villagers hurried indoors.

The river became violent.
Boats overturned.
Fishermen shouted in fear.
Inside a small wooden hut, Mama Ebi suddenly dropped her calabash.
Her eyes widened.

“The river has opened,” she whispered.
At the riverside, Tari struggled to pull his fishing net.
“Today no be my day,” he complained.
Suddenly—
He heard a female voice singing.
Soft.
Beautiful.
Not normal.
Tari looked around nervously.
Nobody was there.
Then he saw something floating near his canoe.
A girl.
Unconscious.

Wearing white cloth.
Long black hair spreading across the water.
Tari quickly dragged her into the canoe.

The moment he touched her—
The river became calm instantly.
Tari froze.

“What kind thing be this?”
The girl slowly opened her eyes.
Strange silver pupils.
Not ordinary human eyes.
“Please…” she whispered weakly.
“Hide me before they find me.”
Then she fainted.
Tari secretly carried her to his mother’s abandoned hut.
The next morning, the village was already talking.
“They say river spirit appeared yesterday!”
“One fisherman don disappear!”
“The gods are angry!”
Tari avoided everybody.
Inside the hut, the mysterious girl woke up.
“My name is Amara,” she said softly.

“Who are you?” Tari asked carefully.
Amara looked away.
“I cannot tell you.”
Days passed.

Tari noticed strange things about her.

She never ate cooked food.

She stared at water for hours.

Whenever she cried, rain started falling.

Fish gathered near the riverbank whenever she sang.
One night, Tari woke up and discovered Amara missing.
He followed footprints to the river.
Then he saw it.

Amara standing inside the water.
And slowly—
Her legs transformed into a shining fish tail.
Tari’s body went cold.
“Jesus!”
Amara turned in fear.

“Tari…”
Before she could explain—
The river exploded violently.
Three dark spiritual figures rose from the water.
Their eyes glowed red.
One of them spoke.
“The River King demands your return.”
Amara grabbed Tari’s hand.

And both of them disappeared beneath the river.
