The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested an okada rider who allegedly excreted 100 wraps of methamphetamine after being taken into custody during a drug trafficking operation.

In a separate operation, the agency also intercepted a massive shipment of "Loud," a potent strain of cannabis, valued at approximately N10.3 billion at the Lagos Port.

According to the NDLEA, the arrests and seizures are part of its ongoing nationwide crackdown on illicit drug trafficking and the activities of criminal syndicates. The agency said investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other suspects connected to the operations.

TRENDING NOW 🌎—EFCC Arraigns Alleged Fake Car Dealer Over N15.4 Million Fraud in Enugu State.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned an alleged fake car dealer before a court in Enugu over an alleged N15.4 million fraud.

According to the anti-graft agency, the defendant is accused of obtaining the sum under false pretences by posing as a genuine car dealer and allegedly failing to deliver the promised vehicles after receiving payment.

The EFCC said the suspect pleaded to the charges in court, after which the matter was adjourned for further hearing. The court also issued directives regarding the defendant’s bail pending the continuation of the trial.

The Commission reiterated its commitment to prosecuting financial crimes and urged members of the public to verify the credibility of dealers before making large financial transactions.
