Many farmers overlook soil pH, but it’s one of the biggest factors that determine whether your crops will thrive or struggle.

🌱 What is Soil pH?
It’s a measure of how acidic or alkaline your soil is.

0–6.9 = Acidic soil

7 = Neutral

7.1–14 = Alkaline soil

🧪 Why Soil pH Matters:

It determines how well crops absorb nutrients

Low pH can lock nutrients in the soil

High pH can reduce nutrient availability

Correct pH = stronger roots, healthier plants, better yields

📌 Ideal pH Ranges for Common Crops:

Maize: 5.5 – 7.0
