hermatic areas are: WASH, Environment and climate change, Reproductive Health (TB, Malaria,HIV/AIDS, STIs, Hepatitis, PMTCT & MNCH) Empowerment of Women and Youths (with emphasis on skills acquisition) GBV, Child protection/Human right. AHI focus groups are: people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, GB Survivals, Orphan and Vulnerable children, Women and girls and people with special needs /disabilities. Adoo Health Initiative is currently working in four LGAs of Benue State, Makurdi, Guma, Kwande Gwer- West and Logo. she is currently working in Makurdi, Gwer West, Logo and Guma on the project 'programmatic Management of DR-TB Cases sponsored by Global Fund in partnership with Global Health and Development Initiative. AHI is also working in Logo LGA on Hygiene Promotion in Emergency, in Ugba IDP Camp in partnership with WOMSI sponsored by UNICEF. AHI has worked with IPAS (international partners for Justice) in Kwande and Ushongo LGA on the sensitization and distribution of the simiplied version of the Violence against person prohibition law (VAAP law) to stakeholders. AHI has worked for over three years in Kwande LGA with IDPs and host communities in providing services for adolescent and young persons on reproductive health ( PMTCT, HIV counseling and testing especially during Maternal and health weeks). AHI has worked in Kwande LGA communities on the need to stop deforestation and encourage tree planting in rural household with support from Climate Fridge Canada. AHI has also worked with Benue State ministry of health through NYNETHA on Malaria project in Makurdi and Buruku LGA. AHI has worked as an advocate in identifying and providing services for GBV Survivals across the state over the years even before the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
