REVIVAL OF ISLAMIYYA SCHOOLS IN MAGUMERI: MAGUMERI LGC DISTRIBUTES FREE UNIFORMS AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

~ Approves ₦500,000 take-off grant and a monthly imprest

~ Increases allowances of Head Teachers and teaching staff by 100%

~ Distributes free uniforms to over 1,000 married women, girls and adolescent girls, boys and adolescent boys

The Executive Chairman of Magumeri Local Government Council, Engr. Dr. Ali Yaumi, distributed over 1,000 uniforms and assorted instructional materials to Islamiyya schools in Magumeri. The initiative is part of his administration’s effort to revitalize Islamic education and promote moral values in the local government area.

In his welcome address, the Education Secretary, Alhaji Umar Lawan Ardoram, commended the Executive Chairman for his visionary leadership in making education free and accessible to all children in Magumeri. He expressed appreciation for the approval of all recommendations submitted by the Committee for the Revival of Islamiyya Schools in Magumeri, and assured the Chairman of his commitment to restoring the schools to the highest standard.

In his remarks, Dr. Yaumi expressed gratitude to Allah (SWT) and Gov. Zulum for the opportunity to serve the people of Magumeri. He urged parents to enroll their children in Islamiyya schools and appealed to husbands to support their wives in attending classes to study the Holy Qur’an, Hadith, and Islamic morals. He noted that such education will help curb social vices and immorality in the community.

Dr. Yaumi further reiterated his administration’s commitment to the continuous support of Islamiyya schools to ensure that women, boys, and girls become responsible and productive members of society with a sound moral and social intellect.
