Today let my voice echo,
Yes echo through the nation.
Let there be teachers,
Not whispers in corners,
But thunder in the square.
Not shadows behind chalkboards,
But flames in the open air!

We rise—not just to teach,
But to declare,
That the hands shaping nations
Now choose to gather there.
At Tafawa Balewa, we claim our ground,
Sixty thousand strong, destiny-bound.

This is not a record attempt,
This is a revival.
Not a statistic,
But a symphony of survival.
We are value. We are voice.
We are vision and choice.

From creeks to classrooms,
From chalk to code,
We’ve carried the dream,
Now we gather bold.
The blackboard was our banner,
The textbook our shield,
But now we march,
And refuse to yield.

Let the world watch in wonder,
This is the audacity of purpose,
The courage of calling.
The bell has rung,
The teachers are coming.

We are not just educators,
We are nation builders.
We sow ideas,
We raise giants.
We carry the future in our voices
And plant legacy in silence.

Let the drums roll,
Let the banners fly,
Let Lagos echo with the sound
Of teachers lifting the sky.
Not forgotten. Not ignored.
We are the voice the nation can't afford.

So gather we must,
With heads high and hearts fierce,
For the time is now,
And the world must hear:
Let there be teachers!
And let the world take heed—
For when teachers speak,
Nations heal and lead!
