God's love for us is immeasurable. It is abundant and endless. The scriptures in Romans chapter 5 makes it clear that even when we were sinners, he sent his beloved son to come die for our sins and reconcile us to himself. There is no such love that can be compared to that which God has shown mankind. Which God has shown you and I. He didn't want us to perish in hell and so, he didn't spare his son who came and redeemed us.

Now, the problem is we let other materials things overshadow and blind us so we cannot see the extent to which we are being loved by God. There is no one that can love you like your creator. Yes, no one. So don't make the mistake of depending on anyone to make you happy. Let Christ Jesus be the source of your happiness.

I've seen several cases where Fathers disown their own children for several reasons including the ones that are not too serious. So if you think your parents got your back always and you put them first ahead of your God. Then wait till the day they are clueless about how to help you navigate life. You'll surely have to run back to God.

How about those that place all their trust and happiness on their Spouse, Children, Bosses at work, or even friends and colleagues. I pity you. When you will be heartbroken (which is the fate of everyman who places their trust in men), you'll have only one safe place to run to, which is the presence of God.

Love and treat everyone with respect. Do to them what you want to be done to you. But don't be a fool to love anyone more than your creator and savior. Don't be obsessed by any material thing. It will only draw depression closer to you.

Psalm 16:11 says 'In Christ, there is fullness of joy". Remember it's in Christ Jesus, not in your parents, not in your spouse, not in your children, not in your bosses nor friends nor colleagues. Don't give anyone the chance to take your Joy and peace away. If you're going into the union of marriage with the expectation to be happy for the rest of your life, think again and find Christ Jesus. If you think children will be the source of your Joy and peace forever, think again and find Christ. If you think money will take all your sorrows away, think again and find Christ Jesus.

May God help us so we don't keep worrying and paying attention to things that don't really matter like Martha and like Mary, may we be able to give our best to things of greater relevance.
