Theoretically, at just the 12th generation, you have 4,096 ancestors. The total number of your direct ancestors in the last 12 generations is 8,192 people. Do you know them all? Do you know all their ethnicities, tribes, and languages?

The 12th generation is not even that far away. It was just 300 years ago, assuming 25 years per generation. Theoretically, within this period, you descended from thousands of people, most of whom you know nothing about.

Your knowledge is probably limited to just great-grandparents (8 people), which is not enough to say everything about you. Many of your direct ancestors from the last 300 years likely knew nothing about the ethnicity and language you are proud of today.
