Who is this lady always holding a sword in front of the court with a cloth over her eyes?

Her name is Lady Justice.

She is a Roman Goddess called Justitia.

She represents three things in law:

1. Blindfolded: This signifies that the law is blind and justice is impartial, not favoring any party.

Love is blind, and the law is blind too 😅 But why are they both blind?

Both love and law have one thing in common. They can lead you where you don't know 😂😂

2. Scale: You see those small two plates? That's what they call a scale. It's used to weigh the strength of a case's support and opposition. That's why it's called the scale of justice.

3. Double-Edged Sword: This sword symbolizes the power of reason and justice, which may be used either for or against you during a case.

Now you know why ignorance of the law is not an excuse.
