I’ve never been good at memorizing things.
As a student, that made me anxious. I watched others recite notes word for word. I couldn’t. I understood concepts but struggled to reproduce them exactly. For a long time, I thought that meant I wasn’t “smart enough.”

Now I know better.
Understanding beats memorizing.
Application beats recall.
Ex*****on beats intention.

The opportunities I’ve had didn’t come because I could cram information. They came because I could:
• Understand concepts deeply
• Apply them to solve real problems
• Prepare before opportunities arrived
• And leverage AI tools to think and work better

I’ve learned to ask:
• How does this work in real life?
• What problem does this solve?
• How can I practice this before someone pays me for it?

Education gave us knowledge.
It didn’t always teach us how to translate it into employability.

That was the heart of my session - why ex*****on matters more than intention, why clarity and consistency beat talent, and how to prepare before opportunity knocks.

Bridging the gap isn’t about blame.
It’s about shifting from:
“I passed.”
to
“I can deliver.”

Because the real graduation is when someone says,
“Here’s a problem.”
And you confidently respond,
“I can handle that.”

As a Talent Development Leader, I see incredible potential in the next generation of talent. However, a significant challenge remains: the gap between what we learn in the classroom and what is required in the workplace.
That’s why I’m honored to be a Guest Speaker at the iInspire Global Conference ‘26!

I will be diving deep into my session topic: “Bridging the Gap between Education and Employability.” We won’t just talk about the problem; we will discuss the “Ex*****on”, the practical steps students, educators, and professionals can take to ensure academic knowledge translates into career success.

Join me for this conversation, let’s empower the workforce of the future by turning education into action. I look forward to seeing you there!
