We are children of God: this is not known by the senses or by how we feel. Only by revelation do we know and recognize what inheritance we have received of Him.

This is how we know the spiritual man: he acknowledges what the written Word says he now has in Christ Jesus.

Hallelujah!

Shepherd!
Ours is a shepherd who leads and guides his sheep continually, He's made us lie in green pastures and leads us beside still waters. With him we are never short of supernatural leading.

He is not of those pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of God's pasture! Far from it!
Rather he feeds us in a good pasture and upon the high mountains of The New brook church shall our fold ever be: there shall we lie in a good fold, and in this fat pasture shall we feed continuously.

We have become the people of your pasture, sheep of your hand.
We are planted in this sheepfold, the holy habitation and mountain of God.
Hence we are not dismayed, neither are we lacking in any good thing.
We are Like trees planted by the waters, bringing forth boughs and bearing fruit, our souls are satisfied and bones made fat.

Groanings, Misery, Perplexity and confusion betide those who have no pasture. They wander and wonder as to why they grovel in perpetual chaos and darkness, but ours is a story of God's mercy, who leads forth his people who he has redeemed through His Anointed shepherd, A man after His heart, who for aye shall feed us with knowledge and understanding.

Hallelujah!

1 Corinthians 10:2-4 KJV
(2) And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
(3) And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
(4) And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

It is the way of the Spirit to set a certain man as a prototype of a generation that is vital to His plans. That man is taken through experiences that become a roadmap for the people of God. He is trained, forged, and hammered out into a template, and God sets him as a seal for what He is about to do.

This man becomes the destiny of a race. He is an identity into which many are birthed. By his name a generation is called that will fulfil the purposes of God. By sharing in his experiences, multitudes become kindred — of one blood, of one vision, of one purpose.

By baptism his past becomes their experience, his purpose becomes their identity, his vision becomes their passion, his strides become their direction.

He is called so that many will live.
He is chosen so that many will fulfil destiny.
He is separated so that many will be made holy.

For us at the NewBrook Church, this pattern and template is our Man of God, Fred Adekunle.

Born so that we may live.
Our epitome and example.

Today, we celebrate our Pastor, the one who embodies the purpose of God for us.
Our Teacher.
Our Mentor.

Because of him, we have a glorious assignment.

Thank you for yielding yourself unto the LORD as a faithful Servant in all His house.

Happy birthday, our Man of God

We wish you a Happy New Year!

Eph 5:15-16
(15) See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
(16) Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Times and seasons are a gift from God to us.
They help us appropriate our walk here on earth and give us a hope for tomorrow.

In Genesis chapter 8 and verse 22, God made a promise to Noah after the flood, that as
long as the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

This shows us that the different times and seasons of life are all a part of God’s design.
It therefore means that at every point in your life, you must learn to ask the most important
questions because every season comes with its own process and testimony.
What is the significance of this period?
What is God calling my attention to?
What am I supposed to be learning?
What am I supposed to be doing?

The reason being that God uses every experience to teach you something.
Every piece of your life becomes an instrument in God’s hand to craft you into His beautifulmasterpiece.

It is therefore essential that you pay attention to the events of and happenings in your lifesuch that you can recognize and trace God’s hand in our journey.

Our anchor text for today is an instruction from Apostle Paul, that you should conduct yourlife in the most straitest and exact way.
He goes ahead to say that you should take advantage of times and seasons that God has
placed within the course of your life here on earth.
The journey of life will be filled with twists and turns, but the wisdom of God is that youmindfully appropriate and appreciate every bit of it.

As we celebrate another Christmas, we cast our minds back on the gratefulness of God tous as a family.
Indeed, God is faithful to us. For in His wisdom and providence, He sent us a man after His
heart.
Because of our Pastor, we are able to recognize the hand of God upon our lives and yieldourselves to His plan here on earth.

Thank you Pastor for not withholding God’s wisdom from us.
Thank you for always showing us the full counsel of God
Thank you Pastor for holding our hands through every season
Thank you for teaching and showing us the way of gratitude.
Thank you for helping us become faithful stewards of the gift of life

We ask and receive that in this season and new year, the wisdom of God is multiplied unto you.
We ask and receive that supernatural events orchestrated by God Himself are multipliedunto you.
We ask and receive that your barns are filled with men and that there’s an overflow ofresources to do the work.
In this season Pastor, you experience the help of God in a greater magnitude.

Happy birthday, Pastor and Merry Merry Christmas.

John 21:16; He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?
He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my
sheep.

What is your definition of love? And, what is the extent you are willing to go to express that
love?
Jesus says in John chapter 3 and verse 16, “For God so loved the world that He gave us His
only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Herein is the fullness of love displayed to mankind; that God would leave His throne andtake on the nature of man so that mankind can be saved.
Herein is the fullness of love displayed, that immortality will take on mortality for mortal men
to find eternal grace.
Herein is the fullness of love displayed, that the incorruptible will take on corruption for manto be delivered from the corruption of sin and death

This is love! Hallelujah!
This is the good news.
This is the faithfulness of God to man.
The apostle Paul will go on to say in the book of Romans 5:6-8
(6) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
(7) For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some
would even dare to die.
(8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died
for us.

Glory to God!
The love of God is evident in how Jesus has borne the consequences of our sins in His
death.
This is the extent God was (is) willing to go to prove His love for us.
He is not willing that any should die but to come to repentance. Hallelujah!

So this is love - that the good shepherd will lay down His life for the sheep.

In John 21, He said to Peter at the Sea of Tiberias, “Which is greater, to be a fisherman or afisher of men? For to love me is to feed my sheep.”

The phrase feed my sheep appears three times in John 21.
In verses 15 and 17, Jesus uses the word bosko which means to feed and keep the sheep.
While in verse 16, he uses poimanio, which means to rule, to govern, to provide spiritualoversight
Jesus uses two different words to describe the duties and service of a shepherd.

In essence, Jesus was saying to Peter that the proof of his love for Him is to make Himself available for the sheep.
This is the life Jesus has called His Shepherds into.

To feed, keep, and oversee His flock.

When it comes to loving God, we don’t love on our terms, but His.

Jesus has shown the highest form of love to us by laying down His life for us.
So, He calls us into the same act of service and sacrifice- to lay down our lives for others.
The Chief Shepherd and Bishop of our souls has shown us that the highest kind of love is
not self-seeking, but is evident in selflessness.
So, He calls other shepherds to Himself, who will lead their lives in selfless service.

This day and always, we are grateful to God for blessing us with a good shepherd.
The one who selflessly serves and leads the sheepfold of God.

Thank you, Pastor, for making yourself available in the service of the Lord.
Thank you for not despising the call.
Thank you for choosing to be a fisher of men.
Thank you for feeding us with knowledge and understanding.
Thank you for providing spiritual oversight to us.
Thank you for being our spiritual covering.

This day and always, we ask and receive that your hands are strengthened.
We ask and receive that strength is multiplied unto you as you bear the burden of the Lord.
We ask and receive that you do not grow weary, but that you are enabled by the Spirit of the Lord.

This year, the good Lord increases you on all sides, Pastor.
Every single thing needed to serve in the house of God is fully supplied.
Nothing missing. Nothing lacking. Nothing wanting.

Happy birthday, Pastor.
Ke pe fun wa, Sir.
We love you so much

Num 27:15-17
(15) And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying,
(16) Let the LORD, the God ofthe spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
(17) Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring themin; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.

The term “sheep without shepherd” is used in the Scripture to signify those who are notwithin the sheepfold of God.
And to be outside of God’s sheepfold is to be without God’s leading and guidance. To be outside of God’s sheepfold is to be in danger of wild animals - at the mercy of the evilone.

To be outside of God’s sheepfold is to be in a dark and chaotic state.Moses had walked in dishonour before the Lord at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin becausethe children of Israel provoked him to wrath; hence, the Lord told him he wasn’t going to bethe one to lead the children of Israel into the promised land.

Moses’ response to this was to intercede for the children of Israel that they would not be assheep having no shepherd- a people without one to provide spiritual leadership for them.
This shows us that Moses understood the importance of having the oversight of a pastor andthe danger of the lack of one.

Moses, being a shepherd after God’s heart himself, prayed that the children of Israel wouldnot be left without a shepherd who would lead them to the promised land.He prayed that they would not be without a shepherd, the one who would bring them intoGod’s safe place.
Though the nation were a rebellious and stiffnecked people, yet their only salvation was stillin having a shepherd to lead them into the land that God had promised.

Every man needs such spiritual guidance when it comes to walking in God’s plan andfulfilling His purposes on earth.
God has so ordained it from the beginning.

Man was designed by God to need such dependence and reliance when it comes to doingand fulfilling His course here on earth.
Our journey would be incomplete without yielding ourselves to the ones that the Lord hashandpicked by His providence, such that we can live that fulfilled life in Him.

As a church and as a ministry, we are most grateful to God, who has not left us to bewanderers on earth, trying to figure things out on our own
We are most grateful to God, for He has not left us as sheep without a shepherd - menlacking spiritual oversight and guidance
We are most grateful to God for the gift of our Shepherd - our Pastor, Pastor Fred Adekunle,

Thank you Pastor for yielding to the call.
Thank you for saying yes to Jesus
Thank you for being our spiritual covering

Pastor, because of you, we see God’s plan clearly, and we are enabled to walk in it.
Because of you, Pastor, we are living the life that God has called us to live
Because of you, our lives are counting for the Gospel.

We ask and receive for you, Pastor, that your hands are strengthened.
We ask and receive that your health is preserved
We ask and receive that resources abound unto you
We ask and receive that many more will find their destinies in God because of you

Thank you for being a shepherd after God’s heart.

Happy birthday, Pastor.

We love you, Sir

Jer 3:15
And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with
knowledge and understanding.

The word "pastor" in the Hebrew rendition is ra’ah, which means to tend, pasture, keep, feed, or shepherd a flock. By implication, it also means to rule over the flock, providingleadership and oversight for the flock.

Throughout the Scriptures, we find that this was the pattern with God: to handpick men who
would provide spiritual oversight for the nation of Israel.
God would set men over the nation who would instruct them after His law.

But this wasn’t always the case.
We find on different occasions certain kings/shepherds who led the people of God astray
through idolatry, doing wickedly in the sight of the Lord.

In our anchor text, God speaks of His restoration plan through the mouth of the prophet Jeremiah. At this point, Israel was in a backslidden state. Yet, God promised restoration through theprovision of a shepherd after His heart. Though the people had strayed away in pride and done after the imagination of their evilhearts, yet God’s response was to send them men who would save them from idolatry, setthem on the path of righteousness, and lead them into true worship.

This shows us that the role of the pastor in leading the people of God cannot and should not
be deemphasized.

The pastor must be one who receives the shepherdhood of God, such that he can also lead
the people in the way that they should go.

To be a shepherd over God’s people will mean you lead them into the path of righteousness,
you nurture them in knowledge, and pasture them with understanding.

The Shepherd of Israel calls shepherds after His own heart who will lead the people of God
into His sheepfold.

At the NewBrook Church and Whitefield Missions, we can indeed say that the Shepherd of
Israel has blessed us with a shepherd after His heart: Our Pastor, Our Shepherd, Our
Teacher, Pastor Fred Adekunle, Sir, the one who feeds us with knowledge andunderstanding.

Because of your oversight Pastor, we can say we are well fed and nourished up in the doctrine of righteousness.

Thank you for yielding the call, Pastor.
Thank you for leading us into true worship.
Thank you for exemplifying the life of service, sacrifice, and devotion.
The true shepherd is one who lays down his life for the sheep, and that is the pattern we
have found in you, Pastor.
Thank you for teaching us consecration and obedience to the call, Pastor.

Pastor, just as the good Lord has said, in this new year, the Lord is gathering the lost into
your sheepfold.
Many more are finding rest in this Naweh.
Many more are coming to drink of the fountains that flow from this New Brook.
The Lord is gathering the nations into this house - this safe place.
It’s every people group under heaven for Jesus!
